Gourmet Grilling Class

The second in the series of The Gourmet Grilling Class was held on April 9th, and was a great success. We were pleased to see some new students, and several members of the Puerto Rico New Comers organization attend the seafood themed class.

grilling 101Chef Manuel Velez did a masterful job of bringing the menu to life. Grilled crab cakes and scallops for appetizers, incredible seafood paella and snapper cooked in banana leaves accompanied by grilled garlic bread for the main show, followed by Bananas Foster, and BBQ Bananas for dessert.

There was plenty of good food to go around and everyone received a plate to go. Also in attendance were several of the folks from the new foodiespr.com website to record the action. WE are looking forward to celebrating class number 3 on Saturday May 14th. The class will have a beach and summer theme grilled over charcoal. Watch this site for details or contact Randy Corsi at randycorsi@gmail.com for more details and to reserve your space. See you there!

  1. This is what cooking is all about. I love the camaraderie and spirit of knowledge sharing that’s depicted here. Reminds me of the vibe at many of the bbq competitions and classes we have here in FL. Good stuff!
